Can I Use Birth Control Pills To Reschedule Periods ?

Hi, I am currently on birth control and I am a Sunday starter. This means I generally have my period on the weekends. I wanted to know if it was safe for me to start my new pack on a Thursday so I would have my period during the week instead of the weekend. Thank you.
