Can I Use Dry Sauna To Lose Water Weight After Childbirth?

Hello,
Thank you for your time. I had a csection two weeks ago and still have 30 of the 60 pounds to loose. First off, I was curious to know when it's safe to assume the water weight is gone and know this is the amount of fat I need to loose when I'm able to work out. Second, until I am able to workout may I use a dry sauna to help with water weight at this stage after birth? I am also a breast feeding mother if that has any affect on my milk I would like to know. Thank you!

Hi there ~

I understand your concerns. However, nature has its own ways of dealing with one's weight, especially after a physiological process like childbirth. I believe that you will do well with exercise and using a healthy diet to reduce weight. Please consult a dietetics as well as an exercise specialist to cater to your needs to lose weight. Using a dry sauna may help in reducing your weight, however there is no clinical evidence for the same in allopathic medicine. I hope this helps answer your question. Congratulations on having a healthy baby and becoming a new mother!

Take care and have a lovely day!
