Can I Use Taxim O Syrup For Fever?

doctor my son is 1 year 8 months....he is having fever from yesterday evening........my doctor asked to give him crocin syrup till today evening , if fever still prevails he asked me to give syrup taxim o syrup from this night, my question is y taxim o for fever, when it is meant for loose motion. age 1 year 8 months, weight 10.3
