Can IBS Causes Discharge From Rectum?

Doc---I have had a discharge from my rectum for the last week. There seems to be a lessoning of amount, it appears to be somewhat light yellow/green. Today and yesterday the amount of discharge is very little, appears to be improving. I had a 3 day period of diahrrea and have a fizzure for many many years. I am assuming this is due to the irritation from bowel movement. I am back to normal formed stool, have no pain or itching and no elevation of temp. Thankyou, Ed
