Can Ibuprofen Help Ease Bowel Movement?

Hey, I have herpes around my anus, I am on medication for it now, and I realise it s only been a day and a half since.... But I cant function right now im in so much pain. I feel like there s more fluid than before and definitely more pain despite the anti virals. I cant seem to even clean the area without almost vomiting in pain and I really cant take a bowel movement. I need to know what I can do or take to ease it... Ibuprophen does not help.

Hi,

Herpes pain is indeed very severe and I can understand your position. If Ibuprofen is not working you can use more potent analgesic like tramadol or gabapentin with it. Local xylocain containing creams can be used at site to reduce pain alongside antivirals. Laxative or stool softeners to decrease pain at defecation due to straining can also be used.

Wishing you a speedy recovery. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
