Can Imodium And Vancomycin Be Taken Together For Chronic Diarrhea?
My wife has chronic diarrhea. It was suspected she had C. diff, but repeated tests were negative. The diarrhea has returned and she s been taking imodium. She also has 42 Vancomycin (250 mg.) capsules on hand. One on-line site (http://www.ehealthme.com/drug-interactions/imodium-a-d-and-vancomycin-hydrochloride) shows drug interaction issues with these two meds. Another site shows no known interactions. She can t get in to see her gastroenterologist for weeks. Is it relatively safe to add the vancomycin when she s on the imodium?

In most of the contraries Imodium is banned because it causes the paralytic ileus it just only checks the diarrhea, now the question is not for interaction but it should never be taken either alone with or any other drug such drug is not good for health.
