General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi, Thanks for asking.I understand your concern. Keflex (cephalaxin) is a safe drug in pregnancy. Ear 8nfection (cellulitis) if bacterial needs to be treated by antibiotic. The treatmentcan beby oral or injectable route... depending on severity of infection&it can bedecided by local examination &symptoms you have. So if advised by an expert doctor for injectable antibiotic ...please follow the advise, start with injectabletreatment in ER &followed by treatment as per advise of your doctor. Thanks.
