Can Levator Ani Syndrome Cause Tensing Up Of All Muscles To The Point Of Breaking Some Capillaries?

Hi there, My husband has levator anal syndrome, last nights episode caused a seizure. I was scared to death because I personally never witnessed one. He turned bright red and tensed every muscle in his entire body to the point of breaking some capiliaries . We called 911 and he went to the hospital. Can this syndrome trigger this and why now after 12 yrs of having this?
