Can Lobar Ton Cause Persistent Dry Cough?

Hi I am trying to figure out what medication is causing a persistent dry cough mostly at night he had cough from after Xmas last year He is on metformin omeprozole from that time doctor changed over his blood pressure tablet as said that could be the cause on looking up side effects I can now see that lobar ton to can coucause dry cough he s also on atenolol clopidogrel to ?

Hello, Thanks for using Healthcare magic. i had gone through the data you have posted. yes,losartan can cause persistent dry cough. kindly consult your doctor so that he will examine him and rule out other possible causes for chronic cough and if not other cause is found then we may need to change medication to other class.
persisitent dry cough is a class side effect of ACE/ARB s, though it is know that, cough is less common with ARB s it can be seen and if refractory discontinuation of medication may be necessary.
