Can Losartan Aggravate Psoriasis?

Hi I have some red itching bump on my scalp some of them re red patches for 6 months my physician order scalp ointment fluocinolone acetonide it has some relief but after I stop it the itchy patch come back again ,I also on losartan low does for high Bp .do you think losartan can cause psoriasis to flare up? If so please give me some advice.now I am out on vacation and unable to locate my Dr. Thank you Juli

You wouldn't expect losartan to trigger psoriasis... on the other hand, many drugs can make one more sensitive to sun. If it were a sun burn on a bald unprotected area of scalp, certainly a medicine could trigger that. But, losartan was develped specifically to NOT have the immune effects of previous similar blood pressure medicines (ACE inhibitors). An allergic reaction to a medicine would be expected to have a reaction all over and not just in a few places.
