Can Meftal Be Given To A Child For Mild Fever?

Sir my son s 8 yrs old and hes hving pblm of conversions.i m very scared whenever he gets fever, if he little also gets temperature I will give him 250 mg tab.is thr any harm n this?by chance if I give him though thr was no fever pls suggest me what I must do

It is OK to give metal(mefanamic acid) to the child if he is having fever. It is a commonly used drug I personally prescribe to many of my patients. That being said I would warn you to avoid misusing it as you have to remember that every drug has its side effect and giving any drug unnecessary can cause more harm than benefit.
