Can Meniere S Disease Lead To Vertigo?

I have had 2 episodes of vertigo following a dentist appt in which I was head-down for a little more than an hour. Saw an ent that figured I had calcium crystals and to do Epley maneuver. Didn t work on the next one so saw another ent who wants to rule out Meniere s disease. Does meniere s come on fast? Wouldn t I have had some prior symptoms and what should I have noticed?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Meniere's disease is most commonly gradual onset but this can vary from one person to the next.

It is normally associated with hearing loss and tinnitus (hearing noises such as ringing or buzzing, etc.) in most persons who have the condition.

I hope this helps.
