Can Methotrexate Taken For Rheumatoid Arthritis Lead To Nausea And Hair Thinning?

I have been put on Methotrexate for RA. I ve been on it for about 12 weeks. I have found thru internet research that it is a low dose chemo. My hair is thinning and I get nauseated every time I eat anything. Is there another drug that is not a steroid that my be better suited for me?

Methotrexate is effective medication for rheumatoid. Other option are sulphosalazine, hydro chloroquine . I do not think methotrexate will cause all these symptoms. Any way what dose you are taking. 7.5 mg once a week is usual starting dose.
