Hi,

I understand your issues.
Let me address your attempt to conceive first. Microgynon is a birth control pill. It is also used to regularize periods, however if you take this pill than chances of pregnancy will not be there. So if you are trying to conceive, another solution for the absent menses needs to be found. The nipple tenderness maybe due to the pill and disappears after stopping the pill.

Now regarding the absent period. If periods are continuously absent for more than a year investigations are needed to determine the cause. It would help to know your age. The common causes for absence of periods are
1. Premature ovarian failure; here the ovaries do not contain adequate ova to mature and so hormone production goes down and menstruation does not occur. The best way to diagnose this is get an FSH and LH blood level done. If levels are high than it is most likely ovarian failure.
2.Low hormonal levels due to causes other than the ovaries like the pituitary gland. Again Hormone levels help determining the location.
3. Abnormalities of thyroid hormone also cause menstrual irregularities.
4. Increased prolactin levels may lead to absent menses. In this case, women usually have milky fluid coming from the breast.
I suggest that you consult a gynecologist and get a complete examination. Also get the blood hormonal evaluation to check if any of the above hormones is problematic. The final treatment will be decided according to the results of the tests and your desire to conceive.
Hope I was able to help you.
Thanks for using HCM.
