Hello,

All medicines should not be taken together. You should be clinically examined by a GP with tests, investigations, imaging tests done to detect peptic ulcer (gastric or esophageal), Zollinger Ellison syndrome, etc. You should get the underlying health condition treated. Since you are suffering from IBS you should be careful of what you are eating. Strict diet control will help to reduce the symptoms.

Avoid taking carbonated beverages, caffeine, food high in fructose like sweets, snacks, soft drinks, other processed food. Do not take full fat dairy products or dairy products like cream, milk, cheese, etc. High fat causes bloating. Avoid cauliflower, broccoli, and food that trigger gastritis and bloating.

Take home-made well-cooked / boiled food rich in nutrients, minerals and calcium. Take adequate amount of water and fluids. Avoid oily-spicy food. You may have to continue to take Buscopan till the period your treating doctor has prescribed. Neksium is commonly prescribed when peptic ulcer is diagnosed. Ganaton helps to prevent fullness, bloating heartburn while Gaviscon helps to lower stomach acidity.

Medicines should not be taken with alcohol or if pregnant or suffering from underlying health conditions like liver or heart problems, etc. Keep your treating doctor informed of your health condition. Keep your treating doctor informed before starting or stopping the medicines prescribed.

STake care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
