Can Norethisteone Be Taken By A 13 Year Old ?

at what age can norethisterone be taken my daughter is 13 and we are going on holiday Hi my daughter is 13 and has started her periods we are going on holiday wednesday and she hasn t yet come on. can she take Norethisterone and if soo how many do you take a day? Please help

Norethisterone is a progesterone which is used to delay the periods so it can be taken by any female who has started getting menses so there is no age for that.If your daughter has started her periods then Norethisterone will not help but if she has not got her periods then the ideal time to start Norethisterone is at least a week before the expected date to get the required delay and should be continued till the delay is desired.Once the pill is stopped then there will be periods with in a week.As for the dose it is one tablet per day better at night after meals.
