Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am 25 years old i got married 3 months before,i am trying to conceive. I did my ultrasound scan. I have pcos.I am really shocked.I had cried .Doctor prescribe me to take oral pills for 15 days. The tablet name is Normoz with combination of (myo-inositol,D-chiro-inositol,chromium,vitamin d3 tablet). This tablet will help me to conceive in this month or next month?i want to know i am having the chances to getting pregnant or not?.I m really confused. Please help me...
I am so sorry to hear about this finding and all the disturbing thoughts this has caused you. Please, many women with PCOS conceive normally. The truth is that even women who have no identifiable problem need at least 12 months of trying to get pregnant without success for us to become concerned. This is because pregnancy is a game of luck and nothing guarantees the fact that you would get pregnant next month or not. I will like you to ask your doctor about the possibility of using metformin as this has been shown to be helpful to persons with polycystic ovarian syndrome in getting pregnant.
I hope this helps. I wish you well and feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.
