Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello Doctor, my baby is 3 months old.He got right ear pain and my pediatrician has given otocin drops. He told milk might entered the ear. Now it was better. But but he is rubbing his left ear like before. Shall I give the same otocin to his left ear as well.?
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. Otocin ear drops contains chloramphenicol, clotrimazole along beclomethasone and lignocaine. This medication contains antibiotic along with antifungal, which is used to relieve pain, congestion and swelling caused by middle ear inflammation called 'acute otitis media'. Kindly consult Pediatrician before its institution to the other ear as it needs to be assessed weather only one ear is affected or both the ears. Hope the information provided would be helpful. All the best.
