Can Polybion L Be Given To A Child For Increasing The Appetite?

Hi, I am giving Polybion - L to my 3 and half year old daughter to increase her appetite, as suggested by one of our doctor? Does it really help increasing a kid appetite? Is there any side effects of this medicine, if given in more or less quantity or irregularly?
