Can Rivaroxaban Be Taken With Champix?

Hello, Is it safe to take rivaroxaban with champix. I m taking the rivaroxaban for a DVT in my right arm, and an associated PE in my left lung. I have nil heart issues, and nil history of any other medical issues. Not overly confident in my current Dr. I am worried, and as am getting pain in upper left chest area, and breathing is laboured at times. As suddenly as it comes though, it will go away and i feel fine. I will be seeing my Dr today for a chat about these things. I m 46 yrs old.Thank you very much.

hello user, i understand your concerns . Rivaroxaban is an anticoagulant which you are taking for DVT- Champix (Varenicline) have been used in patients using anticoagulants like warfarin with no significant drug interactions - so generally no major risks are there but due to varying individual body responses , its good to discuss these issues with your prescribing physician . Good luck
