Can Sal Mucolite Be Given For Cold, Cough And Fever?

My daughter had cough before 2 days with cold inside. I started giving Sal mucolite and today she is having running nose and cough. The flum coming out of her nose is colourless. She has a mild fever on and off.

Pls let me know if I could continue the same medicine.

Hi, thanks for asking. In my opinion your child is having viral upper respiratory tract infection. In my opinion she does not require sal mucolite but she will benefit from an antihistaminic. It will help reduce the secretions from her nose.
