Can Setraline Be Taken Along With Trazadone And Ativan For IBS And Constipation ?

I have IBS and have been very constipated these last few days. I take a Trazadone and Ativan every night. My gastro Dr. recommended Setraline, but I just don t want to add another pill. Should I just continue with the Miralax 2 x day and Benefiber. I have been taking a heaping tbls. of Benefiber every day. Was taking Miralax every day up until a couple of months ago. Would like to not have to be dependent on the Miralax. What do you think about the Setraline along with the other drugs I take. What are the side effects?

Hi. Sertaline/ setraline is surely known to have a better control and can be taken very safely with the other drugs you are already taking. It has no side effects unless taken in a high dose. So please start taking this medicine and may need to increase the doses as per your Doctor's advise. It is always started in the lower doses to start with and gradually increases as per your requirements , if needed.
