Can UTI And The Delay In Periods Be Related?

I am a 26 year old woman and my period is late.I know that I am not pregnant because I haven't had sex in 5 months,I went to the doctor and I am going back tomorrow for the results of the second urine test.He said that its a UTI but yet he still asked me to give another urine sample today. Should I be worried? I had my first UTI last year and he only took one sample of urine,I found it weird that he asked for a second...
