Can UTI Be Transmitted Without Intercourse?

Hi, I got fingered by my boyfriend about 17 hours ago. We haven t had sex yet because we aren t up to that atge but we fool around. He fingered me and now I think I have a UTI. Is it possible for him to have the infection aswell even though we didn t have sex?
