Can Vyvanse Be Taken If Undergoing Bodybuilding Exercises?
I m currently getting ready for a bodybuilding competition and taking diuretics this week because my show is this weekend. However I m also prescribed to vyvanse (60mg) and doing research led me to believe that this is not a good idea....any thoughts?
Good morning. Your research was correct. For one thing, you are going to put yourself in a state of dehydration if you haven't already. Get off those diuretics!
Watermelon is a natural diuretic with its own water built in. Try using foods to keep unwanted water weight off (like excess carbohydrates, sugar will all cause you to contain water - a gm of glycogen (carbohydrate storage form) carries 3 g of water for every g of glycogen.
I hope I answered your question. And, be careful of what your trainer tells you as they are not trained in medications, generally have little nutrition training, they come with a variety of backgrounds, mostly not adequate enough to work with medications, chronic disease and such.
Thank you for coming to HCM. I hope your question has been thoroughly answered.
