Can Vyvanse Trigger The Symptoms Of Multiple Sclerosis?

Hi, My doctor prescribed me Vyvanse 30 mg last August and I have since stopped taking it. The vyvanse greatly helped me focus in my classes and study more but it ruined my appetite and I m not big on using any stimulants even if prescribed. It has been about 3 months since Ive last taken my vyvanse. my body should ve come back to equilibrium by now---- with that being said, my mother was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis a few years ago and I feel like I m experiencing a lot of the symptoms she struggles with currently. Can using vyvanse trigger the effects of multiple sclerosis and is there a way to revers these effects.

Hello,

You were on Vyvanse and have stopped taking it after you have much improved in your focus in studies. Presently you are experiencing loss of appetite and symptoms like your mother who is diagnosed with MS. You are experiencing the side effects and withdrawal symptoms of Vyvanse.

To improve your appetite you can take liver tonics, digestives and antacids to help metabolism and digestion. Do not skip meals, take small portions multiple times a day. Avoid junk, spicy food, packaged food, processed food, etc. You should take dry fruits, veggies, fruits and berries and home made nutritious balanced food.

Stay away from alcohol, smoking, drugs, soft drinks, etc. Switch to healthy lifestyle. You can visit ER, to get symptomatic treatment done. Lifestyle changes will help improve irritability, anxiety, headaches, cravings or loss of appetite, lack of motivation, inadequate sleep, etc.

Since your mother has history of MS, avoid triggers like stop pushing yourself when you are already exhausted and feel fatigued. Get checked your vitamin D level as vitamin D deficient people are more at risk of getting MS symptoms triggered. Take safe sun exposure or supplements. Lead a healthy lifestyle to avoid sickness.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
