Can A Bladder Infection Cause Hematuria?

For awhile, now, I have been experiencing one drop of blood every day. I was diagnosed with a bladder infection about 3 weeks ago, and was on an antibiotic for 10 days. The blood disappeared, but now has reappeared. I have no symptoms other than the drop of blood.

Hello
Thanks for query.
The blood in urine in presence of infection of bladder is due to increased vascularity of urinary bladder and congestion of the bladder.

Normally it subsides after taking appropriate antibiotic and bleeding stops once the infection is well controlled .
The recurrence of blood in urine after three weeks suggests that either there is still sub clinical infection or the antibiotic which you ave taken may not cured the infection completely .

Get urine culture and sensitivity test done so that you can take appropriate antibiotic to control the infection completely and will help to resolve the issue .

Ensure to drink more water .
