Hi..I was bitten by a stray cat the other night..who came up to my porch and fighting my cat..I didnt get a good look at it, it ran off. The bite bleed for a while and swelled up I cleaned it really good and the swelling went away. Now my question mostly is , statistically, what are my chances of getting rabies, etc? Im worried it would cost a lot of money to get shots, etc. arranged to go to doctor but they said they didn't treat animal case bites, not sure if its something I should be worried about.

there are some cases that stray cats spreading the rabies in some countries. So there are some chances though little is there for rabies. you should start with vaccine rabies and t.t. along with antibiotics like co amoxiclav. if you are woried about the cost of shots of rabies. i can tell u it is freely available or with nominal charges it is available in government hospitals. so you should go for it.
