Can A Child Be Given Eye Drops To Treat Redness In Eyes While Suffering From Cold And Cough?
My child is 2.5 years old.he had cold five weeks before but still has cough during night and when wakes up in the morning,sometimes have sticky stuff in his eyes when he wakes up and slight redness,doctor proscribed some eye drops but I used it last week but eyes have started getting sticky again.

It seems from the history that your child is having cold and cough and he has got redness of eyes.
This indicates infection of the eyes in the form of conjunctivitis secondary to respiratory tract infection as indicated by cold and cough.
The treatment for the eye condition is by use of antibiotic eye drops.
Along with this the respiratory tract infection needs to be treated by the use of oral antibiotics and decongestants.
