Hi
Welcome to healthcaremagic
Dose of azithromycin is 10-12.5mg/kg/day..But in children in enteric fever we give at 20mg/kg/day which is same as 6ml in 5.5 month old child. It is generally well tolerated. So don't worry.Sometimes they might experience side effects like stomach pain or vomiting
Happy to help you
Regards
