Can A Fall Creating A Bump In The Head And A Cut In The Nose Cause Any Unseen Problem In A Child?

my 1.5 yr old child fell standing off backwards from our bed (which is about 2 ft high) - he cried for a bit, and it looks like he cut somehow his nose and may have a bump on his head but he seems OK - still worried - should I take him to get checked out.
