Can A Fibroid Degeneration Cause Any Problem To The Unborn?

Hi, I had an ultrasound scan last week which showed a singleton live fetus within a gravid uterus. The placenta is posterior and not low lying. An oval hypoechoic mass measuring (61.3 x 39.2)mm is seen at the fundus of the uterus. Please interprete. Everything was normal 5days ago, I started having unbearable pains at the lower right side of my tommy, doctor said its fibroid degeneration, right now I want to know why I still feel pains uptil now? Is there any negative effect on my baby? Thank you
