Can A Growing Cyst In Brain Be The Cause Of Developmental Delays In A 4 Yr Old Child?

Hello, I have a four year old that has had some medical issues since birth. They originally thought she had a stroke and instead found a cyst on the brain. they said the cyst was nothing to worry about and now recently found that it has grown. can you please read the results below and give me your opinion if this could be some of the reason she has developmental delays. also what you feel the treatment later on would consist of. thanks

FINDINGS: There is an interval increase in size and appearance of
neuroepithelial cyst seen within the posterior aspect of left
putamen, measuring about 1.5 cm, prior measures about 0.8 cm. This
cyst follows CSF intensity in all sequences and now demonstrates
multiloculation. No evidence of abnormal enhancement

HI
Thank for asking to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, Neuroepithelial cyst is very rare kind of benign growth of brain it is remain asymptomatic, it is mostly detected incidentally, in very rare condition surgical intervention required, but this stage may takes decades, right now nothing to worry about this, the cyst will not going to do any harm, frequent imaging may needed you can have word with doctor for this, take care and have good time.
