Can A Medicine Bottle Kept Out For 4-5 Hours Cause Digestion Problems?

My daughter was accidentally given a bottle of formula that had been out for 4-5 hours, she now seems crankier than normal and has been having yellow runny diapers that smell sour and a pretty bad diaper rash, what should i do. She is also teething so im not sure if that could be causing some of these problems.

Hello,

I really appreciate your concern, nonspecific diarrhea is a pretty common condition in pediatric age and this may not need any treatment. It is the self-limiting condition it may not be due to the formula bottle but it has to be avoided as long as it is possible.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Akhtarhusain
