hi, i think you are confused with the terminology used by the doctors.i will explain you. mild you say is the pain not the amount of injury happend in the heart.both neednt always go in hand.there are instances where some myocardial infarctions (heart attakcs) remain silent(without pain). initialy they must have given you a brief details of what has to be done further.ecg/ekg helps to get some idea of what is happening to heart how much injury happened.angiogram is more precise way..it gives you a clear picture of how many vessels blocked and how much block. the injection which they gave is to dissolve the clot.there are chances where the injection is not sufficient to dissolve clot.which has to be operated. if you have faith in that doctor go for surgery.. no wrong in taking secod opinion with other cardilogist.take care.time is precious in heart attack patients
