Can A Normal Life Expectancy Be Achieved For My Friend Who Suffered A Widow Maker Heart Attack?
Hi, I have a friend who suffered a widow maker heart attack six months ago. In transporting him to another hospital,he aspirated into his lungs, suffered ARDS, fever and pneumonia and they were unable to operate. Later a defibrillator was placed in his chest. He is 53, extremely fit and has a family history of heart disease. Can a normal life expectancy be achieved?

It depend on her recovery. In case he have good recovery and no heart failure he can have good life expectancy. It also depends if he will take medications and follow healthy lifestyle.
