Can A Person Have Hypothyroidism Without Being Fat?

Hello. I'm 24, around 164 cm tall, at 90 lbs. I seem to have some of the symptoms of hypothyroidism, including excessive sensitivity to cold, constipation, dryness of skin, tiredness, and depression. Except instead, I tend to eat more but don't gain weight. I've always seemed to have fast metabolism since I was a kid, and now I'm wondering: can a person have hypothyroidism without being fat? I don't know if this is related, but I also fainted one time.Ah, and the doctor I went to said I also had low blood pressure, but did not say what that may mean, just gave me iron supplements. Should I be going to a new doctor just in case it's something serious?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi
I understand your concern.
Your symptoms are somewhat related to hypothyroidism but I think you are not hypothyroid. These are general & non-specific symptoms. For confirmation go for thyroid function tests.
Your doctor might have examined you for anemia and for this he started iron supplements. Take a good and balanced diet. Your health seems normal.
Thank you for contacting healthcare magic.
