Can A Pneumonia Vaccine Cause A Wasp Sting To React Terribly?

I was stung by a wasp or hornet today and withing 20 minutes itching terribly and got a rash and my tongue swelled up. I have only had 5 stings and previously only got a swelling at the sight. I had a pneumonia vaccine yesterday and have been treating my allergies as well. Could that have caused the serious sting reaction?

No It has nothing to do with pneumonia vaccine. but as you have previously been bitten by the wasp you have antigen of wasp bite in your body. as wasp bites you again this antigen antibody reacts very rapidly and casues hypersensitivity reaction. all of your problem is because of this hypersensitivity reaction. if your reaction is very rapid you should go for injectable steroid and antihistaminics after consultation with your family doctors. in future from the prevention point of view you should be careful that wasp bite should not occur. because prevention is always better than cure.
