Hello,
As you telling you had neck and concussion head injury in 2012.
Did you had any new problem 3 weeks ago for which MRI was done ?

if syrinx from c4-c7 may be incidently detected on MRI. Might be it be present since long before, but undetected.
But it need close observation by repeat MRI at 6 months to look whether its increasing or not. Also need to get MRI Brain to look for any associated bulbar syrinx and any feature of arnold chiari malformation.

If syrinx size increases -> it may require surgical intervention
If it not increase--> Can be left untouched
