Can A Toddler Take Tylenol And Dextromethorphan Cough Suppressant Together After A Febrile Seizure?

Can a 3 year old child take cough suppressant and Tylenol at the same time? The ingredient in the cough suppressant is dextromethorphan hydrobromide. They had 1 ml. He has a fever, it went to his head and he just had a febrile seizure for under 2 mins.

Hi,

Yes, febrile seizures can be scary. However, it is still safe to give this medication. You can do so without hesitation.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Eric Goldstein, Pediatrician
