Can A Toe Whitlow With Lump Skin Peeling, Sensitivity, Pus Be Treated?

I had a whitlow on my big toe for sometime, the skin started coming away from the lump but now is very sensitive, I had got rid of the puss but now nothing comes out except blood, I tried to pierce the skin patch which had come away but that lump just exploded with blood, what should I do?

Hi,Thanks for your query. After going through your query I came to know that you are suffering from whitlow on your big toe.Now pus is not coming out but it is very painful . You can take analgesic such as dilofenac and antibiotics according to culture and sensitivity of pus. Vitamin D and C help in recovery from healing. You can contact your doctor for dressing it every alternate day.You can discuss with your treating Doctor about it. I do hope that you have found something helpful. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries. Wishing you good health. Take care.
