Can A Torn Hamstring Cause Swelling In The Calf?

Six weeks ago I had a torn hamstring. That healed, but for the past two weeks my calf has been swollen and only hurts if I press on it. I also developed an itchy rats above my ankle, that has since cleared up with Allegra cream. Is this swelling a byproduct of the tear?

hi,

it cannot be because of the hamstring tear. may be it's just a weakness of the calf muscle due to hamstring tear.

focus on strengthening the calf muscles and you should be fine.

thank you
