Can A Yellow Jacket Sting Cause Stiff Neck?

I was stung 7 times by Yellow jackets yesterday, four times on my left hand. Shortly after, my entire left arm was aching and today my neck is stiff and hurting on the left side. Could my stiff neck be the result of the multiple stings I got on my hand?

Hello,

Yes, it may cause stiffness in few patients.

Other symptoms few people may experience is :
1. coughing or wheezing.
2. problems breathing or swallowing, or having tightness in your throat.
3. changes to your skin, such as breaking out into hives feeling lightheaded or dizzy, or passing out or vomiting or diarrhea.

Use cold and warm compression. Use antihistamine tablet with steroid tablet if necessary.

If symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
