Can An Aggressive Treatment Done With Flagel And Avalon Cause A Taste Loss?

Hi I'm enquiring on behalf of my mom.
About three weeks ago she aspirated stomach fluid as a result of a hiatus hernia. She developed double pneumonia. She was admitted to hospital with a crp count of 252. She was treated aggressively with flagel and avalon antibiotic drips. Her sense of taste is gone. Will it come back? And is it the antibiotics that caused this tastelessness?
Thanks a lot!
