Can An Untreated UTI Cause Brain Fog, Confusion And Mood Swings?

Hi, I'm a 49 year old mother, Ive had an ongoing uti which I believe never went away. I began experiencing brain fog,confusion, mood swings and irritability, which became extreme at times. Can the neurological symptoms be a result of an untreated uti?
