Can Antibiotics Cause Burning Roof Of Mouth, Gums And Teeth?
I recently went to a local Urgent Care center with symptoms of extreme mouth pain and the whole left side of my face was very swollen.I was told I probably had an abscessed tooth and given antibiotics. Since I have been on the antibiotics the roof of my mouth, my gums, and literally even my teeth are burning like they are on fire. Could this be an allergic reaction to the antibiotic?
Explanation: Your abscess/infection of tooth requires antibiotics for sure. So, sometimes it can cause allergy like this. But in your condition I dont think so. May be because of oral ulcers and infection you may be having burning sensation. Please consult your doctor who prescribed you the medication.
