gud evening doctor,PA view X-ray report of my father 66yrs states that Cp angles are eight blunted,heart is long tabular,Lungs-Hyperinflation of lung noted,reticular opacity noted in bilateral,mid zone & lower zone.Flattened domes noted. Impression COPD WITH INTESTINAL PNEUMONITIS WHITH PLEURAL EFFUSION/THICKENING.WHAT DO YOU SUGGEST US TO DO.

hello and welcome to HCM,
The X-ray chest suggests presence of interstitial pneumonitis and pleural effusion.
Interstitial pneumonitis is an inflammatory or infectious condition which resolves with the help of antibiotics.
Pleural effusion is collection of fluid in the pleural cavity.
This could be in response to interstitial pneumonitis.
Once the pneumonitis is treated, the effusion will also clear away.
