Blod report says that Red cells show mild anisopoikilocytosis, normocytic normochromic with occassional macrocytes and after Bone marrow test sys ME ratio and is 1:3, Megakaryocytes are adequate with frequent dyspoetic dwarf forms. Perl s stain shows no ring sideroblasts, stores are decreased. Sugessted for Cytogenetic for MDS (deletions)

hi..welcome to healthcare magic..according to your blood report, either you are anaemic, or you are on the verge of developing anaemia. According to your bone marrow report, megakaryocytes( platelet precursors, platelets are one type of blood cells) are dyspoeitic and dwarf, meaning to say that they are abnormal. moreover, perls stain showing no ring sideroblasts indicates that there are no iron stores in your bone marrow. all these indicate that your bone marrow is probably not functioning appropriately. MDS(Myelodysplastic Syndrome) is one such cause. for confirmation, you will have to undergo cytogenetic analysis which is the genetic analysis of your blood sample to check for chromosomal changes(eg: deletions). your further management and treatment will depend on the report. all the best.
