Hello,
Your sonogram report confirms pregnancy, but the viability has not yet been established. You may correlate with your dates and a clinical exam. The sonogram at 6 weeks gestation should identify a fetal heart and fetal pole. Failure to do so can happen when the dates are wrong, when the resolution is poor or when the pregnancy is arrested. Repeating the test after about a week should clarify the issue. A serial analysis of serum beta-hCG titres gives an idea of the prognosis; doubling titres every 2-3 days indicate good progress. Hope this helps.
