Can Arthritis Be Diagnosed Without A Proper Check-up?
My middle back is hurting really bad. Two weeks ago, he said I have arthritis. People my age (I m 75 yrs old) get arthrites. He didn t have an ex ray, or an MRI. He didn t touch me. The other thing I asked him, why is my tongue swelling, and the tip turns grey? This last about 10 minutes. Said, he never seen, or heard of this. He said goodbye, and sent me home with hydrocodon-acetacetnn 7.5-325. Would you please explan what s happening to my body. Thank you, Patsy Nagy 8-8-17
Hi, I had gone through your question and understand your concern
With such presentations in my clinic, I would first reassure you by telling you all of these problems are mostly age related and the symptoms will improve after receiving medications.
Then I advice you to do X ray lumbosacral spine to asses spondylo degenerative changes (Arthritis) which is mostly present in this age and for all my patients I prefer wearing a belt and receiving muscle relaxant and simple analgesia when needed. You may have to do MRI if the symptoms persisted.
According to your tongue swelling and discoloration ,this may denote infection if the discoloration is whitish. If It is bluish search for any causes of cyanosis by assessing cardiac and respiratory function.
